Ms.Vandana Bedi

Ms. Vandana Bedi, Chairperson, has done her M.Sc in Occupational therapy in paediatrics from the University of East London. She has been involved with AADI (Action for Ability Development and Inclusion), earlier known as Spastics Society of Northern India for the past 25 years.  She is currently the Vice-chair of AADI and is on the board of Central Executive Committee (Disability) Govt. of India.

Mr.Gururaghavendra CE

Mr. Gururaghavendra C.E, Treasurer, is Social Work Professional and Development Practitioner since 27 years. His long term association is in the field of Mental Health. He was with NIMHANS as Medical Social Worker for five years and  with BNI itself for over a decade before leaving it as Asssociate Director. His expertise has been in the areas of developing partnership with grassroot NGOs, capacity building, developing proposals, logframes, programme planning & implemetation, reviews and evaluations. He is also practicing lay councellor. Presently he is heading Education programme in Samarthanam Trust for people with disabilities.

 

Mr.Nicholas Guia Rebelo

Mr. Nicholas Guia Rebelo, Secretary, was with CBR Forum for 25 years as Programme Manager of a National CBR Programme. He was Consultant with two CBR Programmes funded by Kindermission in Srilanka helping them move from charity to right based approach.

Ms.Rama Krishnamachari

Ms.Rama Krishnamachari, Trustee, has 30 years experience in the area of inclusion of people with disabilities. She has experience both at the grassroots and policy levels. She is the founder of DEOC, a social enterprise, specialising in the areas of disability policies, accessibility, research and training. She has a Masters in Economics and PG Diploma in Education of children with developmental disabilities. She is a certified Accessibility professional in the area of Buildt Environment (IAAP – CPABE). She has won the NCPEDP Helen Keller Award and the Javed Abidi Universal Design Award for Public Policy.

Dr.Rajaram Subbian

Dr.Rajaram Subbian is specialized in Psychiatric Social Work at NIMHANS; worked there for two decades; found a passion to work with war affected in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Uganda and Afghanistan focusing on trauma-recovery, psychosocial care, family therapy and child protection for 15 years.  A practicing  Psycho-Social Consultant & International Trainer.

Ms.Sujatha V

Ms.Sujatha V, a soft skilled professional, worked in the field of disability for a decade and later moved on to community mental health. She works with people in urban and rural community with passion and commitment to facilitate their capacity building. She has done her masters in rural development and has been part of few research studies.

Mr.Rajib Kumar Karmi

 

Mr. Rajeeb Kumar Karmi has worked more than a decade in the development sector focusing on child rights and development in odisha. He has done MRD and BEd.

  

 

MR.Ajeya Mandayam

Mr.Ajeya Mandayam has worked in the field of Statutory and Internal control audits for three years before moving to Tally Solutions in 2012, as a part of the support team handling accounting and technical issues. Later moved on to teaching Tally to students till he moved to BNI in 2018.

Mrs.Vishalashi

Mrs.Vishalakshi is a development sector professional and has worked in national and international organizations for over 16 years in the areas of HIV/AIDS, support for orphan and vulnerable children, adolescent girls, female sex workers, sexual minorities, government school ecosystem  and more. She has worked closely with government departments. She is experienced in Programme planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, community mobilisation, capacity building and counselling.

Vishalakshi holds a post graduate degree in Social Work.
